About Sutherland Broderick Interiors

Pamela Sutherland Broderick

With more than 35 years of experience as an interior designer, Pamela Sutherland Broderick is an award winning seasoned professional known for her ability to translate clients’ tastes and lifestyles into beautiful, livable interiors at every budget level—whether it’s furnishing an entire home or redesigning a single room.

Pam is known for her talent in selecting finishing touches and accessories that give a space a lived-in, polished look. She is sought after for interiors that are always unique, always natural, and never over-designed with a telltale “signature” style.
Pam now brings her talents to Delray, South Florida, and continues to serve clients in New York, doing the work she loves.

Pam began her career training under Carol Hayden of the renowned New York interior design firm Hayden Perowne. She later spent many years as an interior designer with Windham House, an antiques and home furnishings purveyor in Greenvale, New York. In 2007, she formed a working association with architect Kevin Wolfe, with notable projects including the Hur Residence in Douglas Manor, New York, and the Palladino Residence in Montauk, Long Island. She has recently completed design projects for homes in Hastings-on-Hudson and Mill Neck, New York.
Pam’s comprehensive design background includes training as a fine arts painter at Manhattan’s Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. She designed fabrics for Boris Kroll, worked as a cabinetry designer for a custom cabinet manufacturer in Manhattan, and was commissioned to furnish model apartments for a high-end condominium developer—all accomplished on tight budgets and timelines.
She also worked with a New York remodeling contractor, where she designed kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior renovations, while overseeing construction and installation—an experience that sharpened both her technical skills and budget estimation abilities.
At Windham House, where she managed both the retail operation and the interior design practice, Pam deepened her knowledge of antiques and honed her ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Her time in retail also enhanced her vendor relationships and broadened her knowledge of interior design resources. Her early training in fine arts and experience in textile design have given her a discerning eye for color, fabrics, and materials.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
I believe great design is about translating a client’s lifestyle into a space that feels uniquely theirs—livable, beautiful, and never overdone. Whether it’s a single room or an entire home, my goal is to create interiors that feel curated over time, not contrived by trend.

What I'm About

01.

Concepts

Pam has a passion for designing and educating clients, using concepts for each project to create interiors that suit the client’s taste and goals. Pam works with her clients, understanding their goals and creating spaces that transform into functional areas with a pleasing environment. She meets each client’s aspirations and budget.

02.

Materials

Pam loves beautiful textures—her favorites are textured chenilles and velvets. These fabrics are long-lasting, especially on sofas, making them enjoyable for everyone. She also favors drapery linens for tailoring a room with finer weave textures that enhance wall elevations.
